1. Make sure the scheme of colors before use or buy it. Do not make the mistake after buying the gallons of paint. Also prepare the things and materials needed before starting.
2. Check the surface of what you are going to paint is absolutely important. The surface must be clean and smooth so that the paint will be adhere and looking good. Like in walls, if the surface does not clean and smooth, it should be sanded, spackled and cleaned, for paint to adhere properly.
3. To paint in the room, remove or cover the furniture and everything to protect them from the paint drop. Or use the tape to cover the things or areas don’t want to be painted.
4. Look also for cracks in the surface. Fill them with patching plasters, filler, wood putty or other suitable compound, whichever is appropriate. When the patch is dry, sand it lightly so that they will level to the surface. Fill nail holes with spackling compound and sand it lightly. To inspect the repaired damages and trim work, dig out rot and filling depression with wood filler.
